Funding
The cost of running the home is $395,000 per annum or approximately $10,000 per child based on a average of 40 children in care.
Our revenue sources are:
| Fundraising (Annual Grand Raffle, Tea Party etc.) | $60,000 |
| Donations/Private Sector | $291,000 | |
| Bahamas Government Grant/Staff Subsidy | $44,000 |
| | $395,000 |
For on-going maintenance and additional resources to care
for each and keep the doors of the Home open, Ranfurly looks to the generosity
of corporate and private citizens and international donors.
While the support from the community has been tremendous, the future development of the
home requires additional support. Current fundraising projects include
upgrading the existing teenage dormitory to include private rooms. The ultimate
goal is to continue Lady Ranfurly’s legacy of laughter, love and kindness
for the children.
